Field Characters
Very similar to C. virens as both can be distinguished from other Cyperus by its sharply angled, abrasive culms and conspicuously septate leaf blades. C. Drommundii is a taller species of less disturbed habitats and has narrower and more compact spikelets, ovate scales, and fewer inflorescence bracts. C. virens is shorter and has wider spikelets and numerous inflorescence bracts.
