Natural History

Found frequently in moist sandy soils throughout Louisiana and east Texas. It is less frequent in southeast Texas. Rhynchospora glomerata is sometimes infected with ergot (Claviceps purpurea).

Habitat

Moist sand, bogs, ditches, savannas, low pinelands.
