Field Characters

Leaves 2 – 5 inches long, primary lateral veins 6–8 pairs, apex usually long-acuminate, lower midvein not covered by epidermis. similar to L. Japonicum which has leaves mostly 1 ½ - 3 inches long, primary lateral veins 3–5 pairs, apex acute to abruptly acuminate, lower midvein covered by epidermis. L. Lucidum is much more common as an escape.
