Field Characters

Flowers occur in nearly every leaf axil and have 5-6 yellow petals, 5-6 sepals, and twice as many stamen as petals. Capsules (fruit) cylindrical and relatively long. Shaggy-pubescent stems. Flowers axillary. Capsules 3-5 cm long and 10-14 ribbed.

Natural History

Anglestem primrose-willow grows in wet places in ditches, marshes, swamps and streams throughout Louisiana and east Texas.
