Field Characters

A perennial forb to .3-1.2 m tall in intermediate to brackish marsh. It has opposite, linear leaves to 4 mm wide. Similar to L. alatum which has alternate leaves above and opposite below with leaves 10-14 mm wide.

Habitat

Salt and brackish marshes and coastal plain.
