Natural History

Heart-leaf cynanchum is most common in silty clay or sandy soils of low, moist woods and fields. It is a weedy often found climbing on shrubs or fences. It is found throughout north and southeast Louisiana and in coastal and south-central Texas.

In silty clay or sand in low moist woods or fields, forest margins, flood plains, disturbed areas, thickets, roadsides.
