Animal Use

Natural History

Often weedy in fields and gardens. It occurs in sandy or clay soils in pinelands, open woodlands, grasslands, limestone slopes, and stream banks throughout Louisiana and Texas.

Habitat

Dry woods, rock outcrops, and sandy soils.
