Field Characters

There are two annual species, Strophostyles helvola and S. leiosperma. Strophostyles helvola has broader leaflets usually with lobes, and peduncles that are longer than 25 cm. Strophostyles leiosperma is smaller and hairier with a peduncle that is less than 10 cm long.
