Field Characters

Short, spreading prostrate branches from the base, leaves on flowering stems are 0.7-2.6 cm long and linear, mostly alternate on the lower stem. Flowers less than 1 cm long (excluding spur which is 2-6 mm. long).

Habitat

Open, sandy areas where it's moist in spring.
