Natural History

A rare plant in Louisiana which is now extinct in prairie remnants. Its range is restricted to Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Habitat

Mesic, acidic, sandy to loamy prairies, pine savannas, oak woodlands, edges of bogs, and frequently mowed meadows.
