Natural History

Hairy umbrellasedge is found frequently in moist, usually acidic soils of marshes, bogs, and seeps in prairies. Occurs throughout Louisiana except in the Mississippi flood plain, and east and southeast Texas south to Aransas County.

Habitat

Marshes, ditches, bogs, and savannas.
