Cultural Information

Seeds germinate from 65-85 degrees F (20 to 30 C) in either light or darkness (Povilaitis 1956). Thompson (1941) found brown plump seeds to have a high viability, brown shriveled seeds to have a low viability, and black shriveled seeds to be non-viable.
